One message: Treat People Like People.

Treat People Like People was created in 2019 to challenge assumptions regarding people with disabilities; raise awareness of abuse and neglect of people with disabilities; and encourage inclusivity and equity among all Minnesotans. It’s a place to find tools and resources for people with disabilities and their families, and for those providing care to people with disabilities. ​

Sharing stories and voices that highlight the value and dignity of each person living with a disability.

Content and materials were co-created with people with disabilities, their family members, advocates and professionals in policy and care provision. Treat People Like People exists to help educate, encourage, and reinforce the idea that people with disabilities are part of the essential fabric of society who deserve to be treated the way each of us want to be treated.
